Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Findalyse uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Cookie Policy covers both:
- findalyse.com — our public marketing website;
- app.findalyse.com — the Findalyse application where you sign in, run scans, manage subscriptions, and view reports.
Cookies differ between these two environments, so they are documented separately below.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They can be set by the site you visit (first-party) or by services the site uses (third-party). Similar technologies such as local storage and pixels may be used for the same purposes.
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site or app to function and do not require consent. Everything else — analytics, preference, marketing — requires your consent, which you can give, withdraw, or change at any time.
3. Cookies on findalyse.com (marketing website)
Strictly necessary
- Cookie consent preference — a small value stored in your browser's local storage to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don't show the banner on every visit.
- Google reCAPTCHA — when you submit the contact form, Google reCAPTCHA v3 runs in the background to detect automated submissions. It sets the
_GRECAPTCHAcookie on google.com / recaptcha.net and collects device and interaction data to score the request. We use this only for spam, fraud, and abuse prevention, and rely on legitimate interest as the legal basis. By using our contact form you are also subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Analytics (only with consent)
When you click Accept in our cookie banner, we load Umami Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool hosted by a third party at umami.dyna.host. Umami collects aggregated, anonymized statistics such as page views, referrer, country, and device type. It does not build cross-site profiles and does not use advertising identifiers. If you reject cookies, Umami is not loaded at all.
4. Cookies on app.findalyse.com (the application)
The Findalyse application is a business tool you log into. It relies on a small set of strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your workspace context, and process payments. These are essential to delivering the service you requested and therefore do not require consent.
Strictly necessary — authentication and session
- Authentication / session tokens — used to keep you signed in after login and to authorize requests to the Findalyse API. Without these you cannot use the application. Stored as a cookie or in browser storage, depending on your login method.
- CSRF protection — a token that protects authenticated actions (such as saving settings or launching a scan) against cross-site request forgery.
- Workspace and preference state — small values that remember which workspace you are currently viewing, your language preference, and UI settings.
Strictly necessary — billing (Stripe)
When you start a subscription, upgrade your plan, or open the customer portal, you are redirected to Stripe to complete the payment. Stripe sets its own cookies on stripe.com and checkout.stripe.com to process the payment, verify the transaction, and detect fraud. These cookies are set by Stripe as a separate data controller for fraud prevention, and as a processor for the payment itself. See Stripe's cookie policy for details.
Analytics (only with consent)
The Findalyse application may use the same privacy-friendly Umami Analytics as the marketing site, and only after you have accepted analytics cookies. No advertising or cross-site tracking is used in the app.
5. Third-party services that may set cookies
The full list of third parties that can set cookies when you use Findalyse:
- Google reCAPTCHA — on findalyse.com (contact form), for spam and fraud prevention.
- Stripe — on app.findalyse.com (during checkout and billing actions), for payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Umami Analytics — on findalyse.com and app.findalyse.com, only after consent, for privacy-friendly analytics.
We do not use advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies on either domain.
6. Managing your preferences
You can change your analytics-cookie choice at any time using the buttons below. You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser's settings — when you return, our banner will ask again.
Note: rejecting analytics does not disable strictly necessary cookies. Those are required for the website and application to function.
Current status: you have not made a choice yet.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the tools we use or in applicable law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
